According to MOZ. local SEO is “Local SEO is the practice of optimizing a business’s web presence for increased visibility in local and localized organic search engine results. Proximity, prominence, and relevance are the three pillars of local search. Local SEO employs a wide array of technical and creative efforts to convince search engines that a business should be prominent in their results as a relevant answer to online searchers in close proximity to each business location.” Also imporant to note “a Google representative stated in 2018 that 46% of Google’s searches have a local intent.” We can only assume that it is much higher now.

This website has a page for every city, town, village and county in Alberta. A total of 798 pages. We used the WordPress CMS and we have integrated the MyRealPage IDX feed. As Alberta has gone to one real estate board this site is the first to capitalize on the change.

It is a simple concept where the visitor chooses if they want to look at all MLS listings in Southern, Central or Northern Alberta.

With our new menu design, all 105 pages are on one easy to read menu. This menu is accessed by Clicking on Search The MLS.

 

 

How To Get A (whacko) Google Review Removed

How to flag a review for removal

  1. Navigate to business.google.com, login and locate your business
  2. Select Reviews from the left hand menu
  3. Scroll to the appropriate review and remove any owner response you may have left
  4. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right of the review and select “Flag as inappropriate”
  5. You will be presented with a dialog box noting that the review must violate Google’s content policy. Click Continue
  6. A final dialog box asking what is wrong with this review will be presented. The choices do not match the stated reasons very well so select “Offensive or sexually explicit” and click Report

Because these flagged requests are actively reviewed, there is no need to flag the review multiple times.

Google will email the status of your request

One of the significant advantages of reporting your reviews via the Google My Business Dashboard is that you will receive communication from Google as to the status of the request.
